I collect truck tool boxes from auctions and garage sales. Most are made of metal, but some are made from heavy duty rigid black plastic. I’ve paid as much as $15 and as little as $5. And, I don’t really care if they fit my truck because I don’t plan to use them in my truck.

My intention is to use them around my place as convenient yard storage for hand tools, power tools, garden tools and small resources like nuts, bolts, screws and nails. They’re also used to store chicken feed, garden hoses and other resources that I want to keep out of the weather and away from small animals that will damage what I’m storing.
